Belinda Jane Clark was the first since forever batsman to score a twofold century in a ladies' One Day International when she scored 229* (115) against Denmark ladies' group in 1997 World Cup, up to this point as the record was broken on 13 June 2018 by Amelia Kerr of New Zealand who scored 232* against Ireland.|

Sri Lankan cricketer Chamari Atapattu played probably played one of the greatest innings ever in not only Women’s ODI cricket but one of the best in cricket history. Atapattu scored a brilliant unbeaten 178 off just 143 balls and powered her side to a total of 257/9 out of which her contribution was 69.26 percent in comparison to the total score of the Srilankan Women. This was the maiden time when a Sri Lankan Woman scoring a century in the World Cup and the 3rd century in ODIs; and surprisingly all the three 100s belong to Atapattu.
The only run-getter in the top five list that is not on her name is 88 by Vasanthi Ratnayake. The previous highest individual run-getter in the Women’s World Cup by a Sri Lankan player was Deepika Rasangika - 84 by in 2013 which was against India.
The highest run-getter is Jamaican Stafnie Taylor from West Indies Women 177 against Srilankan Women in 2013.
